The Financial Supervision Commission will host the Board of Supervisors meeting of the European Securities and Markets Authority


For the first time, the Board of Supervisors of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) will be held in Bulgaria. The event is hosted by the Financial Supervision Commission (FSC). The meeting, which will take place in two days – on March 22 and 23, 2018, is part of the calendar of the Bulgarian EU Council Presidency.

The Chair of the European Securities and Markets Authority, Mr. Steven Maijoor, arrives in Sofia today. He will participate in number of meetings which will take place at Financial Supervision Commission premises, as well as at the Bulgarian National Bank.

“During the Board of Supervisors meeting in Sofia, questions of a great importance for European capital markets will be discussed, and important decisions will be made”, said Karina Karaivanova, Chair of the Financial Supervision Commission. "It is a privilege for us to host such an event," Karaivanova said.
